How to Use Slido With Zoom Webinar

Are you using Zoom Video Webinars to run your webinars, online events, or company meetings? Great! Or maybe you’re just planning to? Either way, awesome choice!

If you’ve landed on this page, you’re probably wondering how to make your Zoom Webinar events more interactive and engaging.

In this short guide, we’re going to show you how you can enrich your Zoom Webinar events, and make your audience engaged and happy with Slido’s live polls, quizzes, and Q&A.

1. Integrate your Zoom Webinar directly into Slido

Good news! Slido is fully integrated with Zoom Video Webinars.

If you go with this setup, you’ll be integrating your Zoom Webinar window into the Slido interface. It will look like this:

In this scenario, you will not share a Zoom link with your participants, but you’ll share a link to your Slido event, where your Zoom Webinar is integrated.

When your participants open the link, they’ll be able to watch your webinar on the left, and vote in live polls, participate in a quiz, or ask questions, in the Slido panel on the right.

Seamless, isn’t it?

Setting it up is even easier.

  1. Go to your Slido event settings and click ‘Integrations
  2. Turn on ‘Live Video‘ and click ‘Zoom Video Webinar
  3. Add a link to your Zoom Webinar manually, or connect your Zoom account and select one of your scheduled webinars
  4. Share the link with your participants

And you’re all set!

On your end, all you need to do is press play whenever you’re ready to run a poll or a quiz.

Q&A tip: Share a link to your Slido/Zoom event with your participants in advance – they will be able to start sending their questions before your webinar, meeting, or event. This gives you a chance to better prepare for your Q&A and get a glimpse of topics your attendees care about.

2. Use Slido separately from Zoom Webinar

In case you don’t want to use Slido’s integration with Zoom, no worries – you can use Slido and Zoom Webinar independently with the same impact.

It’s simple. During your Zoom Webinar, whenever you’re ready to run a Slido poll, start a quiz, or show your audience’s questions, just open Slido in fullscreen and share your screen.

It will look like this:

You can manage polls, quizzes, and Q&A from a handy control panel in the lower part of your screen.

If you also have a slide deck (or any other content) that you want to share with your participants on the screen along with Slido – no problem.

First, have both opened in fullscreen, in separate windows. Then, share your desktop screen with your attendees and easily switch between Slido and your presentation using either Alt+Tab or Swipe on Mac.
